Day 3: Kept by the power of God
Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. (Romans 6:12).
We are kept by the power and favor of God
From all the dominion of sin;
He cleanseth by faith in His own precious blood,
His spirit is reigning within.

Almighty God, who sees that we have no power in ourselves to help ourselves:
Keep us both outwardly in our bodies, and inwardly in our souls; that we may be defended from all adversities which may happen to the body, and from all evil thoughts which may assault and hurt the soul; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Lord, keep my tongue from evil, and my lips from deceitful speech (Psalm 34:13).
Open my eyes that I may see the wonderful things in Your law (Psalm 119:18).
When my heart says of You, “Seek His face!” Your face, Lord, I will seek (Psalm 27:8).
Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths (Psalm 25:4).
Direct my steps according to Your word; so shall no wickedness have dominion over me [let no sin rule over me] (Psalm 119:133).
Hold up my goings in Your path, that my footsteps slip not (Psalm 17:5).
Prosper Thou the work of our hands upon us; O prosper Thou our handiwork (Psalm 90:17).
Bless O Lord, the members of my family (as I bring each before You); bless all who are bound to me by ties of kindred or friendship; all who are related to me in business or service; all who pray for me, or desire my prayers.
Let Your fatherly hand ever be with them, and so lead them in the knowledge and obedience of You word, that in the end they may obtain everlasting life.
May God the Father bless me,
Jesus Christ defend me,
The Holy Spirit enlighten and direct me.
