This is what the Lord says: “Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord. Jeremiah 9:23-24
Our Father in heaven, help me to always have a strong sense of security and "confidence through Christ before God" knowing that [my] competence comes from God (2 Corinthians 3:4-5). As I walk in that security, help me never to "lord it over" anyone, (Matthew 20:25) or "think more highly of [myself] than I ought" (Romans 12:3).
Thank You, Lord, that you value each of us, and that with You is no class, caste, or social status. Thank you that we "are all one in Christ Jesus" without any artificial distinctions (Galatians 3:20).
Lord, You are a loving and just God who shows no favoritism (Galatians 2:6). You are the God who secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy. (Psalm 140:12). Help us to have that same heart. Help us to "fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself,'" and not commit the wrong of showing partiality (James 2:8-9).
