You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. (Isaiah 58:11)
Our Father, You are the Source of all things, the "Spring of living water" (Jeremiah 2:13). We remember the words of our Lord Jesus: whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life” (John 4:14).
Spring up O well! (Numbers 21:17) Saturate my soul with Your love and Your goodness.
Uproot, strip away, and wither all that is not pleasing to you. Clear the weeds, drive away the chaff and consume the stubble. Cause me, O Lord, to flourish and "thrive like a green leaf" (Proverbs 11:28). Thank you for the promise of Your blessing over my life.
Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers. Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away (Psalm 1:1-4).
