Day 3: Blotted out

“I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions, for My own sake, and remembers your sins no more" (Isaiah 43:25).

If You, Lord, kept a record of sins,

Lord, who could stand?

But with You there is forgiveness,

so that we can, with reverence, serve You.

Psalm 130:3-4

Remember, Lord, Your works of old,

The wonders that Your people told;

Remember not our sins' deep stain.

Give peace, O God, give peace again.

~ H.W. Baker, 1861

A Prayer from the Psalms

In You, Lord my God,

I put my trust.

I trust in You;

do not let me be put to shame,

nor let my enemies triumph over me.

No one who hopes in You

will ever be put to shame,

but shame will come on those

who are treacherous without cause.

Show me Your ways, Lord,

teach me Your paths.

Guide me in Your truth and teach me,

for You are God my Savior,

and my hope is in You all day long.

Remember, Lord, Your great mercy and love,

for they are from of old.

Do not remember the sins of my youth

and my rebellious ways;

according to Your love remember me,

for You, Lord, are good.

Good and upright is the Lord;

therefore He instructs sinners in His ways.

He guides the humble in what is right

and teaches them His way.

All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful

toward those who keep the demands of His covenant.

For the sake of Your name, Lord,

forgive my iniquity, though it is great

Psalm 25:1-11

A miracle of saving grace

The Savior wrought in me

When all my sins He blotted out

Redeemed and set me free

Chorus:

They’re all blotted out, yes, they’re all blotted out

My sins He remembers no more

Buried under the blood, in the sin-cleansing flood

Blotted out and remembered no more

For He is faithful to forgive

If we our sins confess

And ready ev’ry heart to cleanse

From all unrighteousness

Unchanging is His saving pow’r

Come, whosoever will;

Unfailing is His tender love

You’ll find Him gracious still

~ Mrs. C. H. Morris, 1927
