Those who look to [The Lord] are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.
(Psalm 34:5)
Our Father in Heaven, I look to You. I look to You and Your strength; I seek Your face always (Psalm 105:4). I look to You for mercy (Psalm 123:2), for provision (Psalm 104:27; Psalm 145:15), and for protection (Psalm 41:2; Psalm 116:6).
Father, people look at external things, but You look at the heart. Let my heart be right before You. I need not fear shame or condemnation when I look to You (Romans 8:34). Though human choices sometimes exclude me, Your favor always surrounds me like a shield (Psalm 5:12). Help me to rest secure in Your favor and not obsess over human acceptance or "popularity."
Thank You that "because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame." (Isaiah 50:7).
